Exosomes - the birth of a regenerative force. Exosomes are cell-derived bubbles (100 times smaller than skin pores) that rapidly carry proteins and messages to distant cells, influencing and altering the behavior of those cells in various ways. As a result of their intercellular communication, they are integral in the processes of tissue healing, regeneration and repair. This makes them effective in correcting a wide variety of skin concerns, including reducing visible signs of aging by enhancing collagen synthesis. Rejuvenate your skin and achieve a radiant glow. Our skilled professionals at K2Aesthetics & IV Lounge are dedicated to enhancing your natural beauty. Book your session today and experience renewal!

FAQ
What is Micro-needling?
Micro-needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, allows for a controlled process of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin, triggering new collagen production. To enhance results, micro-needling may be combined with the use of PRP, topical gels, creams, and/or serums to further aid in the overall appearance of the skin.
How long does an appointment for Micro-needling take?
Micro-needling treatment can take 1-1 1/2 hours. The time allotted includes 30 minutes for topical numbing to be applied prior to treatment.
How is Micro-needling administered?
Microneedling is safe and precise. A sterile micropen needle head and handheld micropen skin needling system are used to induce new collagen and elastin.
Does Micro-needling hurt?
Microneedling can be uncomfortable for some people, but it is generally not painful. The level of discomfort depends on various factors such as pain tolerance, the area being treated, and the depth of the needles. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to help with discomfort.
When will I begin to see results from my micro-needling treatment?
Patients usually notice results within a week or two after their first session. However, for deeper imperfections, additional treatments may be required.

How long do results from Micro-needling last?
While we cannot stop the aging process, we can slow it down. With this in mind, results are not considered permanent, as natural degradation will occur over time. The length of time results last is affected by the length of your natural cellular turnover cycle and how long new collagen lasts in your skin. You can also expect results to last longer if you take good care of your skin.

Is there any downtime following a Micro-needling session?
Microneedling doesn’t require active downtime, meaning you won’t have to take time off from work to recover from the treatment. However, the process does cause redness, slight swelling, and skin sensitivity for the first 24-48 hours. Some people may also experience peeling and flaking. For this reason, we recommend that clients schedule treatment during a time when they are not working or going to an event.
Are there any side effects or possible risks to Micro-needling?
Micro-needling is considered a safe treatment for all skin types. The side effects associated with micro-needling are temporary swelling and redness.
Who is NOT a candidate for Micro-needling?
Before undergoing Micro-needling, it's important to have a consultation to assess if it is safe for you. This treatment may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions
